Shooting Clinic Registration
We are now accepting registration for some new clinics that are not part of the
standard NRA curriculum. They are listed as non-NRA events on the website, although we always
follow the standard NRA safety rules.
These clinics will provide a briefing on safe gun handling and range rules, followed by
supervised range time. Our certified instructors will offer tips and techniques to improve your
shooting skills and accuracy.
Most people prefer to bring their own firearms, plus we have a few available to try. If you
bring your own, please bring the proper ammunition for it. Eye and ear protection is required;
we have some extras to loan if you don't have any. Prescription glasses or light sunglasses are
acceptable, and baseball-style caps or visors with a brim help deflect spent cases from the
eyes. Heavy boots are always recommended for the 5 minute walk through our woods. Dress warm!
Layered clothing is convenient for those who like to remove their heavy coat while firing guns,
and then slip it on during breaks and discussions. Our firing line is under a roof, and the
ready area is a covered pavilion with chairs. We have a trap machine to launch sporting clays,
as well as reactive targets. Most people bring snacks/beverages to keep their energy up.
This is the perfect opportunity to practice your skills, talk with other shooters of varying
skill levels, and introduce friends and family members to the sport of target shooting.
